MEMBERS

Born in Calgary, AB, Josh Evans has been playing music for over 15 years. Before starting his journey on vocals, Evans was originally a rock and roll drummer and solely focused on drums. He started playing in his first band in Kelowna, BC, when he lived there from 2013-2023. The band he was in, Lucky Monkey, were a prominent band in the Western Canadian music scene where they toured the country and played countless festivals and high profile performances. Evans then moved back home to Calgary in 2023 where he decided to branch out and try something new, being lead vocalist of his own band. This led him to start Void Souls where he and longtime producer, Dan Harden (The Record Room Studio), wrote and tracked the first few songs the band put out. This helped Evans attract the players that would best fit the bands outlook, both musically and as a band of brothers, moving forward. While Evans now puts a lot of focus into Void Souls, he still manages to play drums with some other friends in his downtime.

Hailing from Calgary, Alberta, Canada, Jordan King is a dynamic drummer who has
spent over 20 years honing his craft and is celebrated for his unique blend of precision,
dynamics, power, and energy. His versatility spans genres such as rock, country, punk,
metal, pop, folk, blues, and funk, earning him a reputation as a premier talent in the
music industry. Jordan performs full-time with Calgary-based bands including Void
Souls, Flaysher, The Path Less Traveled, Safe At Second, and Shawbrooke, while also
thriving as a sought-after freelance drummer. Inspired by artists like Linkin Park, A Day
To Remember, Blink-182, and Bring Me the Horizon, amongst many others, Jordan’s
passion for diverse sounds fuels his adaptability and creativity. Though he holds
degrees in geology and geographic information systems, music has always been his
true calling, driving him to deliver captivating performances ranging from local venues to
large stages like Calgary’s Scotiabank Saddledome.

Kyle Johnson is a born and raised Calgarian who always loved music, and began playing guitar at the age of 15, but really pursued it seriously at 17. Graduated from red deer college in music and performance, he got into the music scene from playing shows, open jams, and teaching. Thus, Void Souls came into the picture, through word of mouth, and common comrades! With the combined talent and effort from the rest of the extremely talented band members, Kyle expresses his craft through his fingers, his soul, and the pure joy of music effortlessly! Thanks to these gents!!!!

Cheers!
